K-Intangible Heritage Festival

Dear KDI School Students,

 

The National Intangible Heritage Center of the Cultural Heritage Administration of the Republic of Korea is hosing the “K-Intangible Heritage Festival” for foreigners residing in Korea. The National Intangible Heritage Center, the world’s first complex administrative agency dedicated to intangible assets, was founded to systematically protect intangible cultural heritage of mankind and pass down its legacy to future generations.

 

Please read the below information, and apply if you are willing to participate in the “K-Intangible Heritage Festival.” It will be an amazing opportunity to experience Korean culture.

(1) Individual tour

  - Tour at the exhibition hall of National Intangible Heritage Center: Permanent Exhibition Hall & Digital Experience Hall

  - Additional programs: K-Play zone (diabolo and dish-spinning game, foot-mask theater, etc) & K-Culture Zone (top-spinning game), K-Market Zone (flee market, food truck)

 

(2) One-day class

  - Geumbakjang (Gold Leaf Imprinting)

  - Seonjajang (Fan making)

  - Imsil Pilbong Nongak (Farmer’s Performance of Pilbong, Imsil)

  - Eunyul Talchum (Mask Dance Drama of Eunyul)

  - and many other Korea traditional cultural activities

 

(3) Performance

  - music performances from various Korea fusion music artists

  - traditional folk dance and music with contemporary interpretation

 

▶Participant: 40 students for each Group

 

▶Eligibility: Those who have received at least one dose of the COVID19 vaccine

  - Those selected will receive an email with a request to submit the certificate of vaccination.

  - Application will be canceled for those who fail to present a certificate of vaccination.

 

▶Application Period: September 29, 2021 – October 1, 2021, 2pm

 

▶Application Method: Submit the below survey by October 1, 2021, 2pm

▶Selection Method: 20 students per country according to the selection priority (see the list below)

 

▶Selection Priority:

  1) Those past 14 days after a complete vaccination (2nd dose for Pfizer)

  2) Those with a complete vaccination (2nd dose for Pfizer)

  3) Those who received a first dose of a vaccine (1st dose for Pfizer)
