Inauguration of KDI’s New President, Dr. Choongsoo Kim
Dr. Suk Nam Moon, the Director of Korea Council of Economic & Social Research Institutes, a subsidiary of the Prime Minister’s office, held the Board of Directors meeting on August 6, 2002 at Seocho Diplomacy Center. The Board has appointed Dr. Choongsoo Kim as the next president of Korea Development Institute (KDI).

The newly-appointed eleventh President of KDI, Dr. Choongsoo Kim, served as the first appointed Head of Korea Representative Office to the OECD, President of Korea Institute of Public Finance, Director of Center for Economics Education, Secretary for Economic Affairs at the Office of the President, and Special-Aid to the Economics Deputy Prime Minister. In addition, beginning 1983, for 9 years Dr. Kim continued his research activities at KDI, where he had served as Director of Research Planning and Coordination.
