[Dormitory] KDI School Provides Self-Test Kit

Dear KDIS Dormitory Residents,
Daily COVID-19 confirmed cases in Korea have risen sharply to hit new all-time high of nearly 50,000 due to the Omicron variant nationwide.
KDI School is no longer safe from COVID-19 and we’ve prepared a self-test kit to prevent the expansion of COVID-19 in the dormitory.
Please refer to the information below. 
Above all, we appreciate your cooperation in complying with the prevention rules including mask wearing and ensuring the safety of our community.
1. Who can use it?
 
The self-test kit is only available if you have suspicious symptoms.
COVID-19 symptoms are as follows. 
 
1) Most common symptoms: fever, cough, tiredness, loss of taste or smell
2) Less common symptoms: sore throat, headache, aches and pains, diarrhea, 
a rash on the skin, or discoloration of fingers or toes, red or irritated eyes
3) Serious symptoms: difficulty breathing or shortness of breath, loss of speech or mobility, or confusion, chest pain
*Symptoms can vary from person to person.
2. What to do if you have symptoms of COVID-19
 
If you have symptoms, please pick up the self-test kit fromthe housemasters and fill in the 'Covid-19 Self-Test Kit Registration Book.' (attached file)
The test results will come out within 15 minutes, so notify the housemaster of the results immediately.

5. What to do if you get negative result
 
There are two sets in one self-test kit.
Therefore, even if you got a negative result during the first test, test one more in two to three days.
6. What to do if you get positive result 
 
If you get two lines from the tester, you are suspected covid-19 patient.
Whether the line is dim or clear, 
You have to go to the COVID-19 testing center in front of Sejong City Hall for a PCR test right away. 
At this moment, you must bring the kit sealed with an enclosed plastic bag in the product with you.

-  Remarks: To prevent the spread of COVID-19, refrain from using public  transportation and walk as much as possible (it takes 30 minutes on foot). 
7. After a PCR Test 
 
Wait in a temporary quarantine room of a dormitory or a single room until the results come out. 
A resident of Double room: move to the temporary quarantine room
A resident of a Single room: stay in the room
8. FAQ: Are the results of the self-test kit officially accepted?
 
The results of the self-test kit can be official evidence (quarantine pass)only when examined under the supervision of medical staff at the COVID-19 screening clinic.
