🏭 Kia AutoLand & National Assembly Field Trip (June 16, 2026)

KDI School invites international students to join a full-day field trip exploring 

Korea's cutting-edge automotive manufacturing industry and democratic governance institutions.

This program offers a unique opportunity to witness Korea's industrial innovation and 

political system up close through hands-on, field-based learning experiences.

📅 Event Details

Date & Time: Tuesday, June 16, 2026, 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Venues: Kia AutoLand Gwangmyeong & National Assembly, Seoul

Departure Time: 7:00 AM sharp — Please do not be late!

Meeting Point: At the crosswalk in front of Dormitory Buildings 101 and 102

🚨 MUST-BRING ITEMS (You will NOT be allowed to board the bus or enter the National Assembly without the following):

 - Student ID: Mandatory for bus boarding check & required for National Assembly entry

 - 📱 Personal phone with mobile data: A translation app will be used at the National Assembly — Wi-Fi will NOT be available, so mobile data is essential🎧 

 - Earphones/earbuds: to use the translation app during the National Assembly tour

⚠ Students who arrive without any of these items will not be permitted to join the trip. No exceptions.

👥 Participants

 - Capacity: 30 students (first-come, first-served)

   To ensure fair participation:

This trip is designed as a mini-KFRS experience for students who were unable to attend KFRS

Students who have already attended KFRS may be excluded from selection if applications exceed capacity

 - A guided tour of Kia AutoLand Gwangmyeong, one of Korea's most advanced smart car manufacturing facilities

 - EV and eco-friendly vehicle production lines

 - Robot automation and smart factory operations

 - A visit to the National Assembly, the heart of Korean legislative democracy

 - Tour of the main chamber and key facilities

 - Insight into Korea's parliamentary system and legislative process

 - A guided tour of the National Assembly Museum

 - Korea's democratic history and institutional development

🚌 Schedule Highlights

07:00 – Departure from KDI School

09:00 – Arrival at Kia AutoLand & Tour

11:00 – Departure to Seoul

11:30 – Lunch

14:00 – Arrival at National Assembly & Tour

15:00 – National Assembly Museum Visit

16:00 – Departure to KDI School

18:00 – Return to KDI School

⚠ Important Notices

 - 🪪 Student ID is required to board the bus — IDs will be checked before departure

 - Cancellation after June 13 or no-show will incur a KRW 20,000 penalty fee

 - Lunch, transportation, and all program fees will be fully covered by the school

 - Please check your class schedule before applying

 - Absences due to field trips are not excused under school policy
