Call for applications for KDI School Students to participate in

2025 KDIS-Europe Summer School on Political Polarization

We are pleased to invite KDI School students to participate in the 2025 KDIS-Europe Summer School on Political Polarization, which will take place in Sejong and Seoul, Korea, from August 18 to 22, 2025.

This summer school focuses on the pressing challenges of political polarization and democratic governance in Korea and beyond. It is designed to foster global dialogue by bringing together students from the KDI School, our European partner institutions, and other aspiring individuals interested in public policy or Korean and Asian studies.

Through a series of workshops, lectures, and collaborative projects, students will engage with leading experts and peers from diverse ideological and cultural backgrounds, fostering open dialogue, critical thinking, and mutual learning and growth.

The application deadline is 8 of June, 2025.
The application must include a short bio, motivation and the applicant's research field/topic of interest. A total of 5~6 students will be selected. Upon successful completion, participants will receive a certificate of completion.

-  Date: August 18-22, 2025

-  Location: Sejong (18-19) and Seoul (20-22), Korea

-  Participants: Students from KDI School and Europe                                                                                            

2. Program Highlights

- Lectures by leading scholars and practitioners

- Group discussions, mentoring sessions, and field visits

- Visit to Cultural landmarks and experiences

3. Eligibility

- A full time KDI School’s student who can fully participate in the entire program

- In the case of international students, students must reside in Korea during the program (Visa extensions and accommodation in Sejong are NOT provided)

4. Support

- Accommodation in Seoul and transportation (between Sejong and Seoul) will be arranged by KDI School.
