9th Regional Symposium on Effective Governance and AI Transformation

The 9th Regional Symposium, co-hosted by the UN Project Office on Governance (UNPOG) of UN DESA, the Ministry of the Interior and Safety (MOIS) of the Republic of Korea, and Incheon Metropolitan City, will be held on 24–26 September 2025 in Incheon, Republic of Korea.

This annual UN event brings together public sector leaders, policymakers, and innovators from Asia and beyond to discuss how technology and artificial intelligence can transform governance and accelerate progress toward the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

This year’s theme, “Strengthening Institutions through Technology and Innovation for SDG Acceleration,” emphasizes innovation and inclusion, highlighting the need for agile and future-ready public institutions in the era of rapid technological change.

The symposium will feature opening remarks from global leaders, thematic sessions, learning labs, field visits, and forums designed to foster collaboration, share best practices, and align local priorities with global SDG commitments.

제9회 UN 아시아·태평양 리저널 심포지움 (기술과 혁신을 통한 효과적인 거버넌스와 AI 전환)

UN거버넌스센터(UN경제사회처), 행정안전부, 인천광역시가 공동 주최하는 「제9회 지역 심포지움(Regional Symposium)」이 오는 9월 인천 송도에서 개최됩니다.

본 심포지움은 2017년 대한민국의 주도로 시작된 이래 매년 열리고 있으며, 아시아·태평양 지역의 공공행정 경험을 공유하고 지속가능발전목표(SDGs) 달성을 위한 혁신적 해법을 모색하는 UN 국제행사입니다. 올해는 「기술과 혁신을 통한 효과적인 거버넌스와 AI 전환」을 주제로 진행됩니다.

이번 행사에는 리준화 UNDESA 사무차장, 윤호중 행정안전부 장관, 반기문 前 UN 사무총장, 유정복 인천광역시장 등 주요 연사와 아시아·태평양 지역의 공공행정 담당자 200여 명이 참석할 예정입니다.
