Field Trip: Digital Government Experience & Baekje Heritage Exploration in Gongju

KDI School invites students to join a one-day field trip to learn about Korea’s Digital Government system and 

explore the historical and cultural heritage of the Baekje Kingdom in Gongju.

This program will provide students with an opportunity to understand Korea’s ICT-based public administration and 

gain deeper insights into Korea’s historical and cultural background through guided site visits.

 

📅 Date & Time: Friday, March 27, 2026

 - Departure: 10:00 AM sharp

 - Expected Arrival (Sejong): around 6:00 PM

⚠ Please arrive at least 5 minutes before departure time.

 

📍 Meeting Point: At the crosswalk in front of Dormitory Buildings 101 and 102

 

👥 Participation: Limited to 30 students (first-come, first-served)

10:00 – 10:20   Transfer from KDI School to Digital Government Exhibition Center

10:20 – 11:30   Program participation and exhibition tour

11:30 – 12:30   Transfer to Gongju & lunch

12:30 – 13:30   Transfer to Royal Tomb of King Muryeong

13:30 – 14:30   Guided tour of the Royal Tomb of King Muryeong and Tomb Complex (English guide)

14:30 – 16:00   Guided tour of Gongsanseong Fortress (English guide)

16:30 – 17:00   Wrap-up and return to KDI School

 - Baekje Heritage Exploration in Gongju

  * Visit the Royal Tomb of King Muryeong, the Tomb Complex, and Gongsanseong Fortress

  * Gain historical insights through guided tours provided by professional English-speaking docents

  * Learn about the history and cultural significance of the Baekje Kingdom

  * Enhance understanding of Korean traditional culture and promote cultural exchange

 

⚠ Important Notice

 - This field trip is free of charge. Transportation, lunch, and cultural experience fees will be provided by the School.

 - Participants must agree to the Personal Information Collection and Use consent in order to participate in this field trip (please check the attached file).

 - The official consent form will be signed on-site on the day of the field trip.

 - Please note that photos taken during the program (including group photos) may be used for school publications, news articles, or website postings.

 - Cancellation after the deadline or no-show on the day of the trip will result in a KRW 20,000 penalty fee.

 - Please check your class schedule before applying, as absences for field trips are not excused under school policy.
