🌊 K-water Water Management Field Trip (April 17, 2026)

KDI School invites international students to join an exciting field trip to explore Korea’s advanced water management system and infrastructure operated by K-water.

This program offers a valuable opportunity to understand Korea’s public infrastructure and environmental policies through hands-on, field-based learning experiences.

 

📅 Event Details

- Date & Time: Friday, April 17, 2026, 9:30 AM – 5:00 PM

- Venue: K-water and Daecheong Multi-purpose Dam

- Departure Time: 9:30 AM

- Meeting Point: At the crosswalk in front of Dormitory Buildings 101 and 102

 

👥 Participants

- Capacity: 30 students (first-come, first-served)

To ensure fair participation:

Up to 2–3 students per country will be selected

Each student may join up to 2 field trips per semester

(except for the New Students Sejong City Field Trip)

📚 What You Will Experience

- A lecture on Korea’s water resource management policies

- Visits to key facilities including:

- Water treatment pilot plant

- Integrated water control center

- Drought response experience center

- Groundwater exhibition hall

- A guided visit to the Daecheong Multi-purpose Dam, one of Korea’s major water infrastructure sites

 

🚌 Schedule Highlights

09:30 – Departure from KDI School

10:00 – Arrival & Lecture

11:20 – Facility Visit (Water Treatment Plant)

12:00 – Lunch & Transfer

13:30 – Facility Tours (Control Center & Exhibitions)

15:00 – Visit to Daecheong Dam

17:00 – Return to KDI School

⚠ Important Notices

- Cancellation after April 13 or no-show will incur a KRW 20,000 penalty fee

- Lunch, transportation, and program fees will be fully covered by the school

- Please check your class schedule before applying

- Absences due to field trips are not excused under school policy
