As of September 18, 2020

 

□ As of 0:00, 18 September 2020, the total number of confirmed cases is 22,783 (including 3,063 imported cases), of which 19,771 cases have been discharged from isolation. There are 109 new local cases, 17 new imported cases, and 5 new deaths.

 

 

○ Overall case and test status, as of 0:00, 18 September (cumulative since 3 January 2020)

 

 

○ Regional distribution of cases, as of 0:00, 18 September (cumulative since 3 January 2020)

 

 

○ Major local clusters as of 12:00 today (18 September 2020)

 

□ Remdesivir has been supplied to 409 patients in 58 hospitals.

 

□ There have been 4 clusters (56 cases) related to religious facilities in September.

○ In some facilities, in-person service/mass occurred without proper ventilation

○ Small gatherings such as online worship preparation team meetings or conversations over lunch/dinner before or after services occurred without proper mask wearing

○ KDCA asks the public to avoid all in-person gatherings and asks religious facilities to have all religious activities in non-face-to-face ways

 

□ KDCA asks the public to take precautions when engaging in outdoor activities during fall season when tick-borne and rodent-borne infectious diseases increase.

○ Wear long sleeve shirts and long pants to minimize skin exposure when hiking, farming, etc.

○ Wear long boots when working near standing water

○ Those who work outdoors frequently (such as soldiers and farmers) are recommended to get vaccinated for HFRS

○ Get treated as soon as possible if having suspected symptoms
