KDI School held an alumni reunion in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, providing a meaningful opportunity to strengthen connections among alumni and further expand the School’s global alumni network.
During the gathering, alumni shared their professional backgrounds, current positions, and areas of work across both the public and private sectors. Through active exchange of experiences and insights from their respective fields, participants discussed potential directions for future collaboration among alumni.
In particular, a senior government official who completed the KDI School MBA program highlighted the continued practical relevance of the School’s curriculum. The alumnus noted that courses such as conflict management, human resource management, and strategic planning remain directly applicable to leadership and talent management in both public and private organizations.
Participants also emphasized the importance of expanding and systematizing alumni networks through sustained engagement mechanisms, including mentoring programs. They suggested strengthening institution-level collaboration with country- and region-based alumni communities and recommended dedicated coordination and modest budgetary support to better leverage alumni networks. As illustrative examples, alumni cited the Cambodian Student Association in Korea (CSAK) and the Korea Alumni Association of Cambodia (KAAC).
The Phnom Penh alumni reunion reaffirmed the value of the KDI School alumni network as a platform for continued exchange, cooperation, and mutual growth.
