On May 15th, the National Research Council for Economics, Humanities and Social Sciences (NRCS) hosted an award ceremony for its affiliated organizations based on the 2014 organizational evaluations. At this event, the KDI School received an Award of Excellence.

The NRCS supports 26 of government-funded research institutes in economic and social science fields. The NRCS is established under “Act on the Establishment, Operation and Fosterage of Government-Invested Research Institutions,” and has managed them systematically to serve the needs of supporting national research industry policy and development of knowledge industry.

The KDI School, during its transition period from Seoul to Sejong, had put in a lot of effort in its work. It had cooperated with various research institutions in the area of Sejong, increasing its influence and promoting mutually beneficial relationships.

The KDI School has also continued its efforts to create partnerships with various organizations and schools beyond borders of countries, even being awarded the NASPAA accreditation for its MPP program in 2014. The school has also planned various joint programs with highly acclaimed schools such as KU Leuven, ESSEC, and Tsinghua University. The Award of Excellence is only awarded to the organizations that are evaluated for the greatest results.

Motivated with this award, the KDI School will continue to improve itself as a world-leading educational center and maintain its position as one of the greatest educational organizations in the world.
