K-Developedia signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Institute of Development Studies (IDS), a leading international development research institute based at the University of Sussex.

The MOU details the commitment of both organizations to work together to address inequalities in the visibility and accessibility of diverse and credible research knowledge and was signed during a visit to IDS by KDI School staff who took part in the IDS’s Global Open Knowledge Hub (GOKH) partner meeting held in October at the IDS.

Supporting the sharing of research globally
The MOU confirmed the participation of K-Developedia in the IDS-led GOKH project as a latest organization to join a group of international partners working collectively to support the adoption of Open Access and Open Data approaches in the sharing of research evidence.

Speaking of KDI’s reasons for joining the project Hye-Kyung Chung, Head of K-Developedia Team at KDI School, said: ‘The collaboration with IDS comes as an opportunity to widen the availability of K-Developedia and its resources to increase the redistribution of our resources all over the world.’

Kelly Shephard who heads the GOKH project welcomed the agreement. "We’re very excited to have the opportunity to work with KDI School. They deliver a very high quality service through K-Developedia and clearly bring a great deal of high quality content and technical expertise to the project. We’re really looking forward to learning more about the particular sectors and contexts that they work in and sharing IDS and the GOKH partners’ experience of delivering similar services in other areas."
