On the 14^th August, 2015, KDI School of Public Policy and Management in Sejong city saw off another batch of global leaders at the new Sejong campus. The Lincoln Hall where the ceremony was held was full of ambivalent emotions not only from graduates but also from honorable faculty members, staff, and the graduates’ relatives and friends.

The completed students were awarded for their successful accomplishment; not only did they enjoy academic life, but also they were passionate in absorbing the Korean culture and development experiences. Moreover, they had been passed through difficult path of exams and assignments to achieve this moment.

The historical moment began with the speech by Ms. Yanze Zhang (2014 MDP, China) who received an award for Academic Excellence. Her speech on not giving up to follow dreams was inspirational for graduates and also to new students.

Moreover, Mr. Carlos Lozano (2014 MPP, Mexico) and Mr. Piseth Samrith (2014 MPP, Cambodia) received the awards for student community service. As Dormitory Assistants, both of them put a lot of effort during the relocation to Sejong from Seoul, and they served their duty until the completion in the summer.

Dean Hong Tack Chun gave a congratulatory speech to all the future global leaders. He was happy that KDI School helped them become professionals on development policy to better span as the leaders of next generation. After his speech, Dean Chun and Associate Dean Kwon Jung awarded the completed students with completion certificates. There is no doubt that this moments will stay with them forever.
