Welcome to our brand-new beautiful campus!

One notable advantage of moving down to Sejong City was the chance to design an entirely new campus for KDI School.

It’s not just the beautiful architectural features of our new campus that captivates us. KDI School’s new campus stands out thanks to some practical and functional facilities throughout the School grounds – KDI School has an exclusive library for students, a fully equipped sports gym with shower facilities, a cafeteria, two cafes, a convenience store and more.

Classrooms are also cutting edge. The study rooms have Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) screens and glass writing boards. But, perhaps most beautiful of all, is its unique facade. KDI School is surrounded by some small-but-cozy looking hills and plenty of new trees.

To celebrate its own beauty and to help our alumni network around the world to keep up with the seasonal changes at the new Sejong campus, KDI School has decided to host a year-long ‘Campus Photography Contest’.

Each month, KDI School will invite students to participate in the Campus Photography Contest and submit photos that show the seasonal changes on KDI School’s new campus. The event is meant to select photos that make people think, “I want to be there”.

“Sharing beautiful pictures of our school on SNS would be an effective way to promote our school to the masses,” Shin Ah Young, the Public Relation & Student Admissions Coordinator at KDI School said.

The competition runs from March to November and the winners will be awarded each month. So, the students still have time to dust their camera off for the chance of winning money total KRW 810.000. The first winner will get department store gift card worth KRW 50.000 in every month. Meanwhile the second and third winner will also receive gift voucher, each is KRW 30.000 and KRW 10.000.

Student can take part to this event very easily. They can submit their pictures in JPG format with minimum size 2400 x 3500 pixels. The winner will be selected within two weeks after the entry deadline for each leg of the competition. The picture itself has to show the panoramic view of the school campus. Even so, the portraits of people on campus related with vibrant and energetic lives of KDI School Students are allowed.

Shin added there are many factors that determine winners of the contest. The quality of the picture has to be good. Also, a detailed explanation can help people to understand the photo itself. Even so, there are not any special tips to win the contest. She suggested student just simply take the photo enjoying the school life.

“We would like share the basic things that many people might forget,” she said.

The contest selected five winners for the month of March – two silver awards and three bronze awards.

• Bronze: Omar Jesus Camacho Orihuela, Elfridanche Widya S. Pardede, Andri Budiman

The Campus Photography Contest is a great way to stretch your legs and get to know the campus more intimately so snap away and submit your photos in the coming months.
