Professor Changkeun Lee and Jaehyuk Park have published a new article in Media and Communication, titled ‘Ideology and Policy Preferences in Synthetic Data: The Potential of LLMs for Public Opinion Analysis.’ The study examines how large language models can generate synthetic survey data on labor policy preferences in South Korea, highlighting both their representational potential and their susceptibility to ideological bias. The findings contribute to ongoing discussions in public opinion research, computational social science, and data-driven journalism.

Professor Changkeun Lee organized the OECD-RCSBE-KDIS-KEA Joint Workshop on June 12, 2025, at the KDI School. The event brought together OECD experts, business practitioners, and policymakers to explore how SMEs can harness AI, data, and digital tools to enhance competitiveness and contribute to urban economic transformation. Co-hosted with Inha University’s Research Center for Small Business Ecosystem, the workshop featured practical insights and policy discussions on building digitally capable small business ecosystems. Professors Chungeun Yoon and Jisung Yoon also participated as discussants.
