This year, approximately 17 MBA and two MPP students at the KDI School completed the ten-day long International Field Research and Study Program. From August 19th to 28th, students travelled around the United States, led by Professor Jin Soo Lee and Mr. Sung-Mook Kang of Academic and Student Affairs. The event aims to provide its students a first-hand experience in understanding the complexity of the best international business practices with the help of lectures from renowned business academicians and practitioners. Lecturers covered the wide-ranging topics of economics, information technology, research and development, and globalization. The trip also included tours to the University of California, San Diego, and Stanford University; company visits to Qualcomm, Wells Fargo Bank, Hynix Semiconductor for America, Napa Valley Wineries, and Google Inc. (Googleplex); excursions to the cities of Las Vegas and San Francisco; and an exciting tour to the magnificent Grand Canyon.
