[2024 Spring] National Research Institute(KRIHS) & City Integration Information Center Field Trip (Feb. 23rd)

Dear KDI School Students,

We are delighted to inform you that our first field trip for the 2024 Spring semester will be at 'Sejong City Integration Information Center' and the national research institutional visit to 'Korea Research Institute for Human Settlements(KRIHS)'. The City Integration Information Center serves as a smart city control tower in Sejong, and offers a range of safe and convenient smart services, including security, transportation, and disaster management by featuring internally integrated facilities and combining the Internet of Things (IoT) and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies. We will also have the opportunity to visit one of the national research institutes, Korea Research Institute for Human Settlements(KRIHS), and get a glimpse of national territorial policy development with research in balanced national development, housing stability, infrastructure development and geospatial information system.

We hope that this field trip will be a great opportunity to allow our students to gain a deeper understanding of smart city initiatives and national development especially in Sejong.

- Date & Time: February 23rd(Fri.), 09:30 – 15:30

- Venue: 1) (Sejong) City Integration Information Center & 2) Korea Research Institute for Human Settlements(KRIHS)

- Participants: Up to 30 international students* 

* To maximize the effectiveness of the field trip, those students whose work place(or career) is related to development planning, transport or technology will be prioritized for the registration of this field trip, which means that the registration status is subject to change. We hope for your kind understanding on this matter :)

** Up to 3-4 students for each country will be allowed to participate in the field trip to ensure an equal share of the limited seats for the field trip.

- Participation fee: free of charge

- Remarks

1) A penalty fee of 20,000 KRW will be charged for no-show on the day

2) RSVP on MIS: Please write a comment on MIS if you have any food restrictions(halal, vegetarian, etc.)

* Cancellation must be made by February 19(Mon.)

1. Go to http://mis.kdischool.ac.kr/

2. Log in using your ID and password

3. Click Apply for Events on the left side, under Training/Event

4. Choose Field Trip for Event Type and click the Query button

5. Click on ‘[2024 Spring] National Research Institute(KRIHS) & City Integration Information Center Field Trip (Feb. 23rd)’

6. 1) Please write a comment if you have any dietary restrictions

2) Click the ‘Save’ button

7. To confirm your application, click on the Event Application Result under Training/Event
