The RAND-KDI Ph.D Fellowship Application (~11.30)

* Since international students are already studying abroad in Korea, all the priority goes to the Korean Students.
* This is for Ph.D Program in Rand which will start in fall semester of 2021.
 
The Pardee RAND Graduate School (PRGS) has reserved a Fellowship for an outstanding candidate from KDI School of Public Policy and Management.
 
KDI School of Public Policy and Management is pleased to announce the RAND-KDIS Fellowship. The Fellowship will be awarded to an outstanding candidate nominated by the KDI School.
 
The Pardee RAND Graduate School (PRGS) is a component of the
RAND Corporation, the world’s original and best-known “think-tank.” Academic and practical experiences are interconnected at PRGS. Coursework in such fields as economics, statistics, political science and the social sciences is complemented by part-time work as on RAND research projects.
 
The exposure to a range of policy areas, research methods, colleagues, and clients, allows most fellows to have accumulated the equivalent of at least two years of job experience in addition to their Ph.D. degrees.
 
The KDI School will be nominating one or two candidates for this Fellowship. All interested KDI School students and recent graduates must submit a copy of their completed application and accompanying document to Student Affairs Division by Nov. 30, 2020.
 
Eligibility Requirements
 1) Recent graduate or candidates for graduation in Dec., 2020 of KDI School
 2) Graduated top of their class
 3) Excellent written and spoken English
 4) TOELE iBT over 100
 5) GRE Verbal minimum 163

 
Fellowship Benefits
 - Cost of tuition for the first year(Required work days in the 1st year: 65 days)
 -  Research-based fellowship($20,500 per year)

Duration of the Fellowship
The Fellowship extends as long as a student is in good academic standing making progress toward degree completion and subject to the terms outlined below in “Earning the Fellowship”.
 
Earning the Fellowship
To earn the full Fellowship, the recipient will be expected to perform a minimum number of days working on RAND projects each year (including the summers). During the first year, Fellows are engaged in the core courses, and are required to work a minimum of 65 days (or the equivalent of 12 weeks). Please refer to

4) Transcript of Academic Records (KDI School)
5) 1 Photos (3 cm X 4 cm)
6) TOEFL Score (Minimum 100)
7) GRE Score (Minimum 163) or GMAT(minimum 700)

Admission requirements (After KDI School’s nomination)
1) The

3) Three essays
4) Test scores: To be valid for the 2021 application, the test must have been taken after Nov 30, 2018 (within the past 2 years).

5) Three (3) Letters of Recommendation
6) Transcript from all institutions you have attended since finishing high school

7) Application fee of $50

Upon completion of the selection process, the KDI School will submit the name of the nominee(s) with supporting materials to the PRGS. A nominee must also complete and submit an application for admission directly to PRGS at
http://www.prgs.edu/admissions, by January 5, 2021 at 11:59pm PST.
 
Candidates who are not selected by the KDI School are still eligible to apply for admission to PRGS.
