Lee, Jongyearn

Industrial Organization / Applied Microeconomics

Jongyearn (Jon) Lee is an Associate Professor at KDI School of Public Policy and Management. His research fields are Industrial Organization, Applied Microeconomics, Public Economics, and Regional Economics. More specifically, he is interested in cost-benefit analysis, public investment management, public-private partnerships, regulatory reforms, and culture/tourism. Before joining the School, he worked as Fellow at the Public and Private Infrastructure Investment Management Center (PIMAC) and as Director of Analysis and Evaluation at the Center for Regulatory Studies of Korea Development Institute (KDI) where he conducted several prefeasibility studies on infrastructure projects and reviewed regulatory impact analyses, respectively. He has actively provided many policy consultations to government branches in Korea and overseas. Jon Lee received an M.S. degree in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University. He then attended the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, where he received M.A. degrees in Economics and Statistics and a Ph.D. degree in Economics.
