The KDI School hosted the 2012 Year-End Alumni Dinner at the Orchid Room of the Westin Chosun Hotel on November 23rd, 2012. The night was a great success with over 140 participants attending the dinner, the biggest number ever recorded at the event.

It was a night of friendship and remembrance, as the alumni caught up with each other and shared many stories. One could easily recognize the strong bond among all the KDI School family members gathered, and it was indeed a time of joy and gladness.

Mr. Dong Sik Jeong (2002 MBA, Korea), the current president of the KDI School Alumni Association, gave an inspiring speech on behalf of the association, followed by a congratulatory speech by Dean Sang-woo Nam, thanking all the alumni for their participation. The Orchid Room was almost filled to the full by the alumni, faculty members and staffs.

The highlight of the day, other than the delicious dinner, was provided by current students, who prepared an excellent performance despite their academic commitments.  Two winning teams of the School’s Song & Dance Festival, a K-Pop team and a Latin Dance team, left a lasting impression on the memories of everyone.

With the Christmas and the New Year’s festivities coming up soon, it was only appropriate that the KDI School prepared a raffle event for the occasion. There were plenty of applauses and groans as many alumni struck gold and took home various prizes, but Mr. Chang Won Seo (2009 MBA, Korea) took home the grand prize, a return airplane ticket!

Alumni around the world also joined the fun in holding year-end dinners, with Kenya, Ethiopia, Cambodia, and Algeria already having held their meeting, while Indonesia and China will soon hold their own.
