KGLF Program

The G-20 Korea Global Leaders Fellowship (KGLF) Program is a three-month training program designed for mid-career professionals who deal with issues on global development addressed by the G-20. It is scheduled for 11 weeks starting from September 17, 2012 to November 30, 2012. Twenty-nine participants from 22 different countries are participating in the program, taking various courses in Korean economic development as well as G20 agenda related issues. They will also take part in cultural events and field trips to Korea''s key industrial sites, experiencing firsthand Korea''s remarkable economic growth. The next KGLF program is expected to be held next spring in March, 2013.

K-Developedia launched

Korea Development Institute and KDI School of Public Policy and Management are proud to announce the grand opening of K-Developedia on November 23rd, 2012. The K-Developedia has been under construction over the past two years, and is an online database of diverse resources regarding Korea’s socioeconomic development. The collection of research papers, statistical data, and seminar materials from local and oversea institutions and international organizations, including the World Bank, UN, and OECD, is now available to the public for free. The database can be accessed at https://www.kdevelopedia.org.

Introducing the KDI School Promotional Video

The KDI School has announced the release of the school''s promotional video for the first time in School’s history. Two versions are available for the viewing of the audience, “Cradle of Future Policy Experts” aimed at potential students, and “Shape the World, Pioneer the Future” intended to promote the School to other institutions.

Both videos are available for viewing in the VOD section of the School’s official website.

Campus Asia: New Students

Two students, Hyunjoong Kim (2010 MPP/ED, Korea) and Il Kwon Shon (2011 MPP, Canada) departed for GRIPS, Japan as exchange students to the CAMPUS Asia program. Meanwhile, the KDI School welcomed three Japanese students from GRIPS as exchange students, Ami Okamoto, Kento Ozaki, and Yoko Oishi. The three students left Korea in September after the 6-week exchange program.
