Seoul, one of the largest metropolises in the world, is home to over 25million residents that go by the ''work hard, play hard'' anthem. It is believed that a strong penchant for hard work has transformed the city into one of the top economies of the world. And when the sun goes down, Seoul affords a buzzing nightlife and a vibrant party culture.

Night time comes alive in Korea''s capital city with exciting places to visit, relax, and play. From 24 hour stores and coffee shops to karaoke bars, clubs, and ''po-cha-ma-chas'' (outdoor patios); the city of Seoul never sleeps.

The famous Han River is most beautiful at night with glimmering lights lining up the bridge. A Han river ferry affords residents and visitors a one-hour boat cruise around the river giving a breathtaking view of city lights and nighttime attractions across Seoul. One could also spend the evening at the Banpo Bridge moonlight rainbow fountain- the world’s longest bridge fountain with over 10,000 LED nozzles that run at both sides of the bridge.

Who says you can''t shop after dark? The Dongdaemun market is one of Seoul''s best known destinations for night time shopping. Myeondeong is also a premier shopping district with high fashion and the best of street food.

''The Gangnam style'' is not  just an infectious song. Gangnam is the city''s commercial district and home to several popular shopping and entertainment areas such as ''U street'' and ''fashion street'' which serve a hub of global stores and local luxury brands.

The Hongik University ( Hongdae) area is a known center for Korea''s youthful nightlife. It is believed to have the best concentration of the nightclubs that Seoul has to offer. Last Fridays of each  month is known as ''club day'' and for the price on one entrance fee (about 15,000KRW),one has access to 11 other clubs.

If clubbing is not your style, with about 5,000 to 10,000KRW, you can get a single or double decked Seoul city night tour bus which starts from Gwanghwamun to the bridges of the Hangang river, Namsan Seoul Tower, Namdaemun market and other night attractions of Seoul.

Nightlife doesn''t have to burrow a hole in one''s pocket. One can relax at the free park at Hongdae and watch free cultural performances, visit the Cheonggyecheon Stream, City Hall, or explore the colours and energy of sea creatures at the Noryangjin Fish Market.

Seoul is a beautiful city to tour at night. The vibrant nightlife is one that fascinates and impresses visitors. Most residents attest that Seoul''s relatively safe streets and security makes fun after dark possible.
