My name is Dordzi Joseph Baise, affectionately called Jay, from Ghana, working with the Ministry of Trade and Industries. I am an MPP student under the KOICA Scholarship Programme for government officials.

It has been an amazing experience since I arrived last August, experiencing the heat in the summer and the cold in the fall in a state-of-the-art institution like KDIS where everything is made available to ensure students excel. However, I did not get the chance to choose which school I was to pursue my postgraduate studies in, but my ministry nominated me to pursue this degree at the KDIS since it falls in line with my role at the ministry. However, having been here now, I am completely happy and I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.

Outside of classes, sports in general especially football and other wonderful clubs have been the most important for me in terms of my personal growth. The amazing people from different parts of the world and their willingness to share their experiences have given me a wider perspective on life, education, and work.

I have been playing football since I was 5 years old. I grew up in a football-loving community where education is also important, giving me a good blend to pursue studies and play football for fun. At the height of my football opportunities, I was once called to the National Youth U-17 team of Ghana, but injuries derailed my chances of pursuing a career in football.

The KDIS Football Club is not a professional football club. It is a club for students who wish to have fun through soccer, so all are welcome! Even if it's your first time, you can always join us for practice and have fun with our wonderful family.

The KDIS Football Club trains on Fridays and Sundays between 4 pm and 6 pm. At times, when temperatures are high, we train night, and when temperatures are low, we train earlier in the day. But we usually train between 4 pm and 6 pm.
