Healthcare Room Opens at KDI School

A Healthcare room is now opened for KDI School. It is located near the entrance of KDI on second floor. Open hours for the healthcare room is Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm except for the national holidays (12pm-1pm: lunch hours.)

Ms. Min Gyeong Yang, nursing staff of KDI School, provides medications, basic medical services, and simple treatments for any health issues. It is a walk-in basis so there is no need to make an appointment. Health service also provides online-counseling for specific medical advice or assistance via email. It is highly recommended for the international students to have an online-counseling with the nursing staff before visiting the hospital. You can also email the health care service with any questions you have regarding your health check-up result. (Healthcare@kdis.ac.kr)

Since the weather has gotten cold, people tend to stay inside and become passive. If this inactive state maintained through winter, it could cause a decline in health Ms.Yang provided four ways to stay healthy in winter.

1. Stretch frequently

It is helpful for the prevention of muscle pain and the promotion of digestion if you relax your muscles often Also, stretching will help your resistance to stress.

2. Drink enough water

Drink more than 1.SL of water daily. It will help moisturize your skin and prevent respiratory disease.

3. 30 minutes sunbathing every day

There are many people who will lack vitamin D. Sunbathing will not only play a significant role in your bones but will also lower your risk of cancer, prevent metabolic syndrome, and enhance the level of immunity.

4. Ventilate interior every few hours

Hazy interior air reduces blood circulation, which can cause dry cough or colds. Ventilate rooms filled with fine dust and pollutants to prevent respiratory disease.
