In recognition of our dedication and commitment to academic excellence and internationalization, KDI School has been rated again as an ‘Excellent Institution’ under the Ministry of Education’s International Education Quality Assessment System (IEQAS) certification system. 

This marks the fourth consecutive year since 2020 that the school has been recognized for its outstanding contribution to global education and support for international students.

KDI School was designated a pilot accreditation university among graduate institutions under the IEQAS in 2015. It was first selected as an excellent institution for 2020 and has maintained its credibility to date. 

The IEQAS sets standards and provides guidelines for Korean universities to improve their management of international students and ensure their academic success. 

Aimed to assess the quality of higher education institutions in Korea in terms of their efforts and achievements in internationalization, IEQAS is known for its stringent criteria. 

Being identified as an "Excellent Institution" is an exceptional achievement for the school since only the universities that have been IEQAS-certified for three consecutive years or more are eligible to be considered for the title. The institutions must meet the strict criteria to secure the title, including maintaining an illegal stay ratio of less than 2~3%, availability of university-funded scholarships, career-related support, and more. 

In the list of 2023 certified universities, of the 18 Korean institutions that were certified as excellent institutions, KDI School is one of only three graduate institutions selected.

KDI School gained special recognition for its Korean Online Preliminary Education (KOPE) program- an innovative approach to preparing international students for their academic journey in Korea before they start their regular studies at the school. Through the implementation of adaptive learning, the online program helps nurture early adaption skills for new students preventing mid-term dropouts and enhancing overall learning outcomes. 

In the broader context of the IEQAS assessment, by maintaining this prestigious designation, KDI reaffirms its commitment to nurturing global leaders and contributing to the advancement of society through education and research.
