Greetings to all!

This is Gina Lee who is in charge of the Student Counseling Service at the School.

There are two weeks left in the current semester and I am sure that you are all busy preparing for your finals. Overall and especially during this period, students may face numerous challenges which may lead to a multitude of problems such as anxiety, depression, loss of energy, insomnia, and undesirable academic performance. As the major purpose of the counseling service is to help students well adjust and find the right balance between academic and personal life, my main interest as the counselor is to find out different stress factors students are coping with. In this sense, I prepared a survey to identify the major stressors that affect students’ performance and adjustment at KDIS.

Purpose:

This survey is to learn more about certain factors (perfectionism, cultural differences and social support) that influence the adjustment of students at KDIS. Your answers will be an invaluable source of information for the school and counseling service as the knowledge obtained will contribute to the understanding of students and may give further directions in helping students overcome difficulties, well-adjust to the environment, and excel in studies.

Who?:  International students at KDI School (As Korean students and international students may have different sources of stress, the survey will be conducted separately during different periods.)

When?:  April 17 ~ April 30 (2 weeks)

How?:  The questionnaire contains 125 items and will require about 15-20 minutes to complete. This survey is completely anonymous and your responses will be strictly confidential.

Where?:  The survey is available online or offline.

  -  online: https://goo.gl/1E3PNs

  -  offline: copies are placed at the Library and Dormitory(Bd.102)

The data obtained will only be used for counseling and research purposes. Please answer as honestly as possible for the data to be meaningful. This will help us further understand the difficulties and needs of our students. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the survey, please contact counseling@kdischool.ac.kr.

Thank you for your participation.
