Student Forum Application for Spring 2022 (~Feb. 17)

What is a Student Forum?

 

- A student-driven gathering for academic research with academic features. 

- Form a research group according to the REGION or POLICY area of interest

- Each research group will discuss and choose a thematic issue

- Perform various research activities such as interview, seminar, conference, case study, literature review and data analysis

- A total of six (6) student forums can be accommodated per semester

■ How to apply (or re-register)

  - Students proposing a new student forum or the representatives of the current forums written above should complete the Forum Registration Form and submit it via email at hy_lee@kdischool.ac.kr

 

Application Period

  - By Thursday, February 17

 

Requirement

  - A forum must have one (1) advising professor and more than 10 members, including one (1) representative and one (1) assistant representative. 

  - It is recommended to have members from various backgrounds. 

 

Financial Support

  - Maximum KRW 200,000 per semester

  - The support fund will be reimbursed at the end of semester after reviewing the activity report and receipts    * Details will be notified to each representative later

 

How to Join a Student Forum

  - Current forums: Directly contact each representative via email

  - New Forums: After we officially announce the list of the new Student Forums, directly contact each representative via email or SNS

 


 

Financial support

(1) For the reimbursement 

- Please submit the copy of the original receipts for the event 

- Also submit the list of participants including students name, ID number and signature

- In case of items, indicate specific information of use. (e.g. T-shirts for forum members)

Eligibility for financial support will be determined after reviewing each forum’s activity plans. After the review, KDI School will support a maximum of KRW 200,000 at the end of every semester.

 

(2) General seminar, conference, and meetings

-  KDI School will support a maximum of KRW 200,000 per semester.

 

(3) Special Events - Extra Support

- Please submit a detailed activity plan including financial support items at least two weeks in advance from the expected event date if you wish to hold guest lecture, conference, discussion or presentation. 

- Upon consultation with the Student Affairs Division, it will be decided whether extra financial support can be done or not.

- The forum representative should submit a forum activity report including financial details and the “Original receipts”, to be allotted to the supporting budget from the school. (Electronic receipts are available only.)

- A forum should share all activity plans and results (pictures, reports, etc.) not only with forum members but with all school members by posting it on the “Forum Board” of the KDI School website to be eligible for financial support (“Student” → “Bulletin Board” → “Notice” → “Student Forum”).

- A forum should open its activities to all school members to encourage the participation of non-forum members.
