Application for the 9^th Euro-Asia Summer School

 

The 9th Euro-Asia Summer School in Korea (KDI School of Public Policy and Management in Sejong / Seoul National University in Seoul) and Leuven (KU Leuven, Belgium) will be held from August 21^st to September 1^st.  

The Euro-Asia Summer School is an annually held summer program which KDI School newly joined from this year. The School is glad to open this key opportunity for young talents to meet and interact to facilitate inter-cultural dialogues on global governance.

▣ Program Date
▶ 21 August - 25 August 2017:              KDI School of Public Policy and Management, Sejong, Korea

                                                            Seoul National University, Seoul, Korea
▶ 28 August - 1 September 2017: Leuven Centre for Global Governance Studies, KU Leuven, Belgium

▣ Qualification

Completion of two terms at KDI School by the starting day of the program

*Students who complete their degrees or graduate within 2017 summer semester cannot apply for this opportunity

**A total of 5 students will be selected.

▣ Required Documents

1) Application Form (attached)

2) Resume
3) Statement of Purpose: within 2 pages (A4) in English
4) A copy of transcript
5) English proficiency certificate (mandatory)

*Native English Speakers and students who took their degree program in English are exempted. In this case, you may alternatively submit certificates of medium of instruction.

▣ Application Deadline: 19^th May, 2017 (Friday) 6:00 pm
*The application package should be submitted directly to the External Relations & Development Division(Room S213) in hard copy during the office hours.

▣ Interview: To be announced later. Approximately scheduled to 23^rd-25^th May, 2017

▣ Cost
*The participation fee for the program is €400. It includes registration, tuition, accommodation, half-board and domestic travel.
** KDI School will provide financial assistance of 1 million won per person. Please be noted that the amount of assistance is subject to change depending on the budget.
***Other Costs: In addition to the participation costs, airfare, insurance costs, a part of meals and other expenses must be paid by participants.

▣ Notes
*Any accident, diseases, and other issues that might arise during his/her stay in Europe during this summer program would be due to the participant’s own responsibility, of which expenses must be paid by him/herself. He or she must buy the Overseas Travel Accident Insurance on his or her own expenses.
**The number of credits will be decided after the final program is confirmed.
