Greetings from the International Cooperation Team at KDI School. 

We’re happy to extend our invitation to KDI School international students who are interested in participating in the G20 & GDLN (Global Development Learning Network) face-to-face (F2F) program scheduled for December 4-10, 2020.

 

Each program will consist of special lectures, site-visits, and a short trip to Jeju Island over the weekend. After visiting Jeju, the G20 group will head to Busan, and the GDLN group will head to Seoul. Students who participate in these programs will be entitled to hotel accommodation, meals, and transportation during the course of the program.

 

Please note that if you would like to join the F2F program, you are required to complete the online learning sessions and submit a Reaction Paper prior to the start of the F2F program. The online learning sessions have been recorded on Zoom/Webex, which were conducted recently, and consists of 8 sessions for the G20 program and 7 sessions for the GDLN program. The duration of each session is about 1~1.5 hours each.

The Reaction Paper is your thoughts and reaction to the lectures. “What is your key take-away from each lecture and how does it apply (or not apply) to your local context?”, is something you can elaborate on in your Reaction Paper. Please note that these papers are not meant to be research-level papers but to ensure that you have sat through the sessions and understand the learning objectives of each session. The Reaction Paper will have to be completed before the start of the F2F program. 

 

If you are interested in participating in the F2F program, please RSVP by November 4th (Wed) at 10 AM. The selection will be based on a first-come-first-served basis and you will be able to choose either the G20 or GDLN program. Please pick one of the two programs. However, please note that if all the spots are filled for the program you chose you may be assigned to the other program. A total of 35 students will be selected and the relevant announcement will be made on November 9th (Mon).

*Note 1: If you have already enrolled in either of the programs, please do NOT RSVP, as you have already been listed as an official participant.

*Note 2: Please be advised that you must be completely free of any obligations or responsibilities throughout the program so that you can attend the program’s itinerary as planned. If you fail to attend the official activities (lectures or field visits) of the program without a reasonable excuse and/or prior notice during the course of the F2F program, it will result in an automatic cancellation of the Certificate of Completion, which will be issued at the end of the Program. If you decide to cancel your participation after your confirmation to join the Face-to-Face program, you will be held responsible for any fees and costs incurred from your cancellation.
