overview 

This webinar is organized jointly with the Korean Public Finance Information Services (KPFIS), the African Development Bank (AfDB) and the World Bank’s FMIS Community of Practice as a part of the IFMIS Capacity Building Program (funded by the KDI School TF) initiated in 2019.

This session will provide an opportunity to learn more about the dBrain (Korean FMIS platform) operations and the KPFIS responses to the COVID-19 pandemic with digital technologies and specific policy measures. The focus of the webinar will be on the development of next generation dBrain which is expected to be operational in 2021 with advanced features to support future requirements of public financial management in Korea. Following the opening remarks and the KPFIS presentations, African Development Bank representative and the participants will have a chance to share their comments and ask questions.

BIOS

Mr. Ki-Young Lee is currently in charge of international cooperation in Korea Public Finance Information Service (KPFIS). In cooperation with WB, IDB, etc, he is providing know-how on dBrain operations to foreign countries and is developing various programs for the development of the Financial Management Information System of other countries in conjunction with dBrain operational knowledge.

Ms. Han-Wool Oh is in charge of international cooperation in KPFIS. She has been organizing various programs and learning events to share dBrain capabilities.

Mr. Kang-Seok Lee is in charge of new technology applications and technical training for employees in digital budget accounting system (dBrain) that manages national finance. Previously, he worked as a statistical analyst for digital budget accounting systems.
