OVERVIEW
This webinar series is organized jointly with the Korean Public Finance Information Services (KPFIS), the African Development Bank (AfDB) and the World Bank’s FMIS Community of Practice as a part of the second IFMIS Capacity Building Program (funded by the KDI School TF).
There will be four workshop sessions on May 11, 13, 18 and 20 to provide an opportunity for invited practitioners to learn more about the latest trends in FMIS modernization and the next generation dBrain, as well as the good practices in participating countries. It will also help in discussing one of the key challenges and benefiting from the feedback of invited countries on possible solutions or similar experiences.
The government officials invited from 12 countries (Angola, Ethiopia, the Gambia, Liberia, Malawi, Morocco, Mozambique, Nigeria-Kano State, Philippines, Rwanda, Somalia, and Tunisia) will present their IFMIS solutions, good practices and modernization plans. Several other countries (Algeria, Bhutan, Indonesia, Lao P.D.R., Mali, Mauritania, Moldova, and Nepal) will join as observers. All FMIS CoP members and other interested practitioners can also participate as observers.
WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?
The session will address the following:
1. Invited countries will present their IFMIS solutions and good practices, and learn from other country experiences.
2. The KPFIS team will share the Korean government’s experience with the implementation of next generation dBrain system, cyber security, and data analytics tools used for financial statistics and reporting.
3. The AfDB team will present their regional experiences and trends in IFMIS domain with a focus on using country systems for financial reporting.
4. The WBG team will share the trends in GovTech initiatives, which include IFMIS as an integral part of core government systems.
