He loves working with other people and crossing borders between disciplines. He is a member of three big research groups in three different research areas: economics, data science, and public health, all funded by the Korean National Research Foundation. He works with a city government to evaluate and improve its cultural policy and advises industry-themed museums.
He has engaged in numerous policy projects commissioned by the Korean government. His research includes evaluating various policies, such as active labor market policies, factory digitalization, and cultural promotion. He also diagnosed and proposed policy directions for official statistics and Korea's official development assistance (ODA) strategy toward the ASEAN region.
