Mr. Wook Sohn is a professor of banking and finance at the KDI school of Public Policy and Management. Sohn specializes in financial markets and institutions, monetary policy, and international development. He published many articles in academic journals and edited several books on the economic and financial issues. He also participated in the collaborative research and consultation projects of the various ministries of Korean, Hungarian, Cambodian, Mongolian, and Omani governments. He was a visiting professor at the University of British Columbia’s Sauder School of Business and taught at Yonsei Business School, Seoul National University, and the KAIST Business School. Most recently, he was Executive Director of Economic Research Institute of Bank of Korea. He also worked for the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System during graduate school. After receiving his B.A. from Seoul National University, He was awarded his M.A. and Ph.D. from Columbia University.
