Exchange of Knowledge and Culture Sustainable Development Goals Summary of your project This project aims to develop an integrated approach to refuse management in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana that will incorporate education through sensitization and capacity development, agribusiness, and sanitation. The study will investigate current refuse management practices, and identify opportunities for integrating education sanitation and agribusiness into the development of a sustainable model for test pilot. A qualitative design approach will be employed, combining documentary analysis, and other qualitative data collection and analysis methods. Expected outcomes include a comprehensive understanding of current practices, identification of integration opportunities, and the development of a sustainable refuse management model for piloting in the research area. The project will contribute to improved environmental health and reduced pollution; enhanced economic benefits through job creation and income generation; better health outcomes through reduced disease transmission; increased community engagement and participation in refuse management and development of a scalable and replicable sustainable refuse management model. -

Second, this will lead us to identify opportunities for integrating education, agribusiness, and sanitation to improve refuse management. Third, we will develop a sustainable refuse management model that incorporates education, agribusiness, and sanitation.
