KDI School Job Openings (Faculty)

KDI School of Public Policy and Management

KDI School of Public Policy and Management has job openings for tenure track positions for the academic year of 2005. Applicants must have a Ph.D. or should expect to receive one by September 2005. The School offers competitive remuneration proportionate to qualifications and experience, financial support for research and travels to international conferences, and other benefits. In addition to relocation assistance, the School provides on-campus apartments on a need and availability basis.


■ MPP Program (3 persons or so):
- Public Administration (Local Government, Public Management, Policy Analysis)
- Conflict Resolution or Negotiation
- Public Economics
- Regional Plan / Urban Economics
- Econometrics or other field using applied econometrics

■ MBA Program (3 persons or so):
- Marketing
- Corporate Strategy
- Finance
- Organizational Behavior
- Securities or Corporate Law
- Any major capable of teaching Environmental Management

■ Other Fields:
Exceptionally qualified applicants will be considered regardless of their academic fields.

■ Job Opening Period
Job openings will be available until the positions are filled. Applications will be received during the year for non-ASSA Annual Meeting Participants.

■ 2005 ASSA Annual Meeting Participants:
Interview seekers must submit Electronic copies (a resume, a cover letter, and research papers) no later than December 10, 2004 via e-mail (khj74@kdischool.ac.kr).
Hard copies (Three letters of recommendation, all graduate transcripts) should be received by December 31, 2004.
The venue is Philadelphia Marriot Downtown Hotel in Philadelphia, PA from January 7-9, 2005.

■ Review of submitted documents
Submitted documents will be reviewed periodically (at the end of every quarter and/or at any time on school’s demand). Applications will be evaluated in the following category: Research, Letters of recommendation, Other qualitative assessment.

■ Job Seminar
After reviewing the submitted documents, qualified candidates will be invited to hold a job seminar. The job seminar will be evaluated based on the following category:
- Thesis: Pertinence of theory, Originality, Methodological skills, Analytical accuracy, Pertinence of actual analytical result.
- Presentation skills: Clarity when presenting ideas, Expertise and practical application, Language fluency, Attitude and development potential.
