Jeong Yeol Kim is an Assistant Professor at the KDI School of Public Policy and Management in South Korea. He earned his B.A. and M.A. from Korea University and his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Arizona, where he specialized in experimental economics. Before pursuing his doctorate, he worked for eight years at SK Telecom, integrating his extensive industry experience into his academic research. He also serves as an economist in the Young Economist Representative (YER) Program and is an active member of the Cartel and Criminal Practice Committee within the Antitrust Law Section of the American Bar Association (ABA).

His research focuses on competition policy, particularly on price information sharing and collusion, algorithmic collusion under antitrust regulation, the effectiveness of multi-jurisdictional leniency policies, and the evaluation of leniency programs through economic experiments. In addition, he explores a wide range of experimental-economics topics, including decision-making under uncertainty, AI autonomous driving and regulation, as well as experimental studies on auctions and tennis games.
