[2025 Spring] Global Knowledge Exchange and Development Center(GKEDC) Field Trip (Feb. 21st)

Dear KDI School Students,

We are delighted to inform you that our next field trip for the 2025 Spring semester will be at 'Global Knowledge Exchange and Development Center(GKEDC)'. GKEDC seeks to objectively study the process of Korea's economic development and to promote welfare of mankind by sharing the knowledge with the global society. As a country that has transformed itself from being an aid-recipient country to a donor country, Korea has an important place for global cooperation in knowledge sharing. We hope that this field trip will be a meaningful opportunity for our students to experience and learn from Korea’s 70-year socio-economic development.

- Date & Time: February 21st(Fri.), 08:00 – 19:00

- Venue: (Seoul) Global Knowledge Exchange & Development Center(GKEDC)

- Participants: Up to 40 international students* 

* The GKEDC field trip is a valuable opportunity to learn about the history of Korea’s economic development. Therefore, we plan to organize GKEDC field trips regularly each semester and strongly encourage every student to participate at least ONCE.

** In the Spring semester, another GKEDC trip is scheduled for Friday, March 7. If you are unable to join in the Spring semester due to class schedules or other commitments, additional trips will be arranged in the Summer and Fall semesters, so we encourage you to participate then instead. (For reference, field trips are typically held on Friday.)

*** Please note that priority for this GKEDC field trip will be given to students who have not previously visited GKEDC.

- Participation fee: free of charge

- Remarks

1) A penalty fee of 20,000 KRW will be charged for no-show on the day

2) RSVP on MIS: Please write a comment on MIS if you have any food restrictions(halal, vegetarian, etc.)

- Application Date: Feb. 10(Mon.) - 16(Sun.) on MIS

* Cancellation must be made by Feb.10(Sun.)

1. Go to http://mis.kdischool.ac.kr/

2. Log in using your ID and password

3. Click Apply for Events on the left side, under Training/Event

4. Choose Field Trip for Event Type and click the Query button

5. Click on ‘[2025 Spring] Global Knowledge Exchange and Development Center(GKEDC) Field Trip (Feb. 21st)’

6. 1) Please write a comment if you have any dietary restrictions

2) Click the ‘Save’ button

7. To confirm your application, click on the Event Application Result under Training/Event
